The Technical Committee meeting in Weihai, China selected the 48 finalists from the 715 participant practices. The 48 selected were from the following regions: 9 from Africa, 12 from Asia and the Pacific, 4 from the Middle East, 9 from Europe, 2 from North America and the Caribbean and 12 from Latin America.
Those selected from our region among the 48 Best Practices were:

• Ph15-, Buenos Aires, Argentina
• Craft Fishing Development Plan in Saavedra-, “The sea is no longer our frontier”, Puerto Saavedra, Chile

Those selected for the Best Practices Transfer Award were:

• Ñemby – From the crisis to sustained development, Ñemby, Paraguay
• Let’s make work fashionable for ever, La Matanza, Fundación Pro Tejer y Poder Ciudadano, Argentina
